8. Symposium of HRO CIGRÉ (Croatian Branch of the International Council on Large Electric Systems) ended on 8. November 2007 in Cavtat.
CIGRÉ is an abbreviation of "Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Électriques", i.e. "International Council on Large Electric Systems". It is a professional association with headquarters in Paris and membership on all five continents. Its activities refer to electric power system and its components, in other words the above association is engaged in development, construction, operation and maintenance of electric power plants and its components.
274 papers were accepted at this year's Conference. The above papers were presented by professional presenters and authors. The work was divided into three sections: "Equipment", "Subsystems" and "Systems".
This year 1,150 participants from Croatia and 14 European countries took part at this year's Conference.
