Cooperation Between Dalekovod d.d. Zagreb and Stattnet, Norway
(09/08/2007)
In Zagreb, 9th August 2007, at a media conference, a new contract between Dalekovod d.d. Zagreb and the Norwegian state company Statnett was signed for the construction of the 420kV Skareheia(Evje)-Holen transmission line, traversing 105km. The value of the works for installation amounts to more than 20 million euros.
Works are divided into two parts. Works are expected to start in September 2007, and finish by August 2009.
Works are to occur in extremely harsh conditions (low temperatures, inaccessible terrain, in up to 3m of snow) which demands a new approach to the organization of carrying out works (exclusively helicopter work), and which will be for Dalekovod upon completion of the contract the largest project constructed under such conditions.
This tender was by invitation meaning that the Statnett company invited seven world companies that could satisfy the criteria from the prequalification procedure to offer their bid for the respective tender.
It should be noted that Dalekovod had passed the prequalification process already in 2005. It had also placed a tender bid for the 300 (420) kV Sauda – Liastolen transmission line, however works were not carried out since Statnett had ceased from the project. Dalekovod has established its own subsidiary in Norway and qualified its people in compliance with Norwegian laws and regulations, and has gained the Sellihca-Nordic Qualification System certificate.
Considering that Dalekovod d.d. Zagreb had completed, to the satisfaction of both parties, the works on Island with the company Landsnett (construction of two 420kV lines), we hope that this will also be the case with the Norwegian company Statnett, and that Dalekovod will once again prove itself a reliable and quality partner.
