Notice on Winning the Contract at the International Public Tender in Norway

(22/03/2007) Dalekovod received notice of being awarded the contract at the international public tender in Norway for construction works for the 420kV Skareheia(Evje)-Holen transmission lines amounting to 105km. The project value amounts to more than 20 million euros. Works were divided into two parts. Expected start of works will begin in summer of 2007...
while completion is expected by 2008. The investor for the works is the Norwegian state company Statnett.

Works will be undertaken in extremely difficult conditions, inaccessible locations, snow up to 3m) which requires a new approach to organizing works (exclusively helicopter work), and which will for Dalekovod upon completion of the contract bwe the largest project undertaken in such conditions.

The tender was by invitation only meaning that the Statnett company chose seven world ranked companies that met the criteria fro the prequalification process and invited them to offer their bids for the respective tender.

It should be noted that Dalekovod had passed the prequalification process back in 2005. It has also placed a tender bid for the 300 (420) kV Sauda-Liastolen transmission line, however works were not undertaken since the Statnett company had altogether ceased from the project. Dalekovod has established its subsidiary in Norway and has qualified people in compliance with Norwegian laws and regulations, and has gained the Sellihca-Nordic Qualification Systme certificate.

Zagrebačka banka d.d. participated by financially supporting the project. For the purpose of the respective tender, a letter of intent by the bank for well completion of thr contract was issued. Dalekovod had also received the job of "Delivery of suspension and jointing equipment" for the same 420kV Skareheia(Evje)-Holen transmission line, whose value is approx. 1 million euros. The delivery deadline is May 2007.
