Dalekovod has received a report on evaluation of tunnels

Dalekovod has received a report on inspection and evaluation of tunnels in the EU countries with regard to risks and safety of tunnel equipment made and published by the EUROTAP organization - European Tunnel Assessment Programme.
152 tunnels in 18 European countries had been evaluated in the period 2005-2007; evaluation had been carried out according to particular tunnels for 8 functional systems:
- Tunnel system
- Lighting and power supply
- Traffic and traffic surveillance
- Communication
- Escape and rescue routes
- Fire protection
- Ventilation
- Incident management
The evaluation method is weighted and complex (evident form the report), along with application and comparison of available regulations regarding provision of equipment and safety in tunnels, e.g. Austria (RVS), Germany (RABT), England (BD), Switzerland (ASTRA), PIARC, and EU directive 2004/54/EC.
The following tunnels have been evaluated and assessed:
- Javorova kosa
- Plasina
- Grič
- Mala Kapela
- Brinje
Dalekovod d.d. has provided equipment for all above tunnels.
Tunnels in the Republic of Croatia have been awarded TOP GRADES.
